Virtual Careers Fair 2020 Information

Date: 21st October 2020 14:00-17:00

Location: Online via Career Fair Plus

Welcome to our first ever VIRTUAL Careers Fair!

This year our autumn careers fair is taking place virtually, instead of on campus. This means that you will be able to attend the careers fair from wherever you are, and regardless of whether you are self-isolating.

Why attend?

The Virtual Careers Fair is your opportunity to connect with organisations and recruiters who are keen to meet Buckingham students! The exhibitors include:

  • recruiters who expect to be hiring graduates over the coming months

  • individuals and organisations wanting to offer informal advice to students about careers in their field of work

  • organisations and agencies that can connect you with help you with employers for graduate roles or work placements

Details of confirmed exhibitors can be found below.

How do I attend?

All exhibitors are available for you to speak to via a video chat during the live event (21st October 2020 14:00-17:00). Some exhibitors offer 15 minute one-to-one pre-booked meetings; some offer a drop-in chat room (no booking necessary); some may offer both options.

To participate, simply:

  • download the Career Fair Plus app on your phone today (available from the App Store and Google Play store) or use this link https://app.careerfairplus.com/my-fairs

  • read the exhibitor information and decide which organisations you want to speak with

  • make a note of any drop-in chat rooms you want to visit

  • pre-book your one-to-one meetings (spaces are very limited so please only book a meeting you are certain you can attend)

I’m not yet sure what I want for a career. Should I still attend?

Absolutely! This is a rare opportunity to talk informally to organisations and recruiters. There is no obligation to commit to any of the organisations you speak to. This is your chance to explore different options and network.

Our own Careers and Employability team will also be available for a drop-in chat and to answer your questions (via the app) throughout the live event.
