Sports and Society Awards 2021

On Friday 20th August 2021 we hosted the first joint Sports and Society Awards where we celebrated their achievements and successes over the past 12 months.

The evening was held at Villiers Hotel in Buckingham where all attendees were greeted on arrival with a red carpet and prosecco reception before heading through for the award ceremony and 3 course dinner.

Our Membership Services Manager, Brook Jones, and Students’ Union President, Kris Sheard, welcomed everyone to the event before handing over to our hosts of the evening Henry Hunt, Vice President of the Students’ Union, and Sarah Ruff, Sports Coordinator.

The event celebrated a range of award winners with a notable mention going to our first Outstanding Contribution Award winner Alice Holden for her dedication to sports clubs, her excellent leadership skills as Cheer Club President as well as her charity fundraising efforts.
