MILLANA FISH

Hi friends, my name is Millana Fish, but call me Millie. I am a business management student. However, I hope to get a law degree in the future. I was born and raised in the States, but I also have citizenship in the UK. I turn 20 on November 10th, so winning this election would be the perfect birthday present!

I'm running for Women's Network Lead because I've noticed a lack of community within the women at this university. I want to create a monthly hangout where women can discuss, do activities, and have fun, without the men around. I want to bring more women to the fitness programs made for girls only. I want to make "Girl's Night In" a regular occurrence. I want a safe space for women to talk about any issues they face without fear or judgement. I want to create a space where women don't have to be ashamed or change who they are. I would like to host speakers, parties, and philanthropic events. I would love to get us involved in organizations where we can do good for the women around us.

You should vote for me because I'm very outspoken and unafraid of saying what needs to be said. I will bring attention to anything my peers would like me to; I believe I'm the ideal spokesperson for the Women's Network. I am the President of the Debate Society, meaning I put effort into anything I put my mind to. I even have experience representing women. In 2017, I gave a speech to the Colorado House of Representatives supporting HB17-1302, a bill prohibiting juveniles from disseminating sexually explicit content of another juvenile without consent.

I am most thrilled to be your future Women's Network Lead! Oh, and one last thing. Join Debate!!
