About

We are the Buckingham branch of the national Friends of MSF network - the official student support for Médecins Sans Frontières (aka Doctors Without Borders). MSF is a world leading independent international medical relief organisation, delivering emergency medical and humanitarian aid to people affected by conflict, epidemics, natural disasters or exclusion from health care.

Our societies core aims:

  • Raise awareness and knowledge about the work of MSF in the field and the humanitarian crises to which they respond.
  • Fundraise for MSF, their work and specific campaigns
  • Encourage students to consider working with non-governmental organisations such as MSF post-graduation/in the future.

Subs for membership are £5 per year which will enter you into a raffle for an MSF t-shirt, mugs and more. It also helps us organise great events such as panel discussions, debate nights and documentaries/film nights, which you get unlimited access to. As members, you will also receive certificates to add to your E-portfolio.

FoMSF welcomes anyone with an interest in global health, humanitarian aid and a desire to tackle and raise awareness of global inequalities. We are very grateful and appreciate everyone that takes part and supports our society.
