The Peer-Led teaching Society is a society that is aimed at creating a standard structure for the organisation and presentation of peer-led teaching activities in the University of Buckingham Medical school.
The following are our main aims:
To develop our teaching skills in a safe environment
To consolidate learning through teaching
To learn from our peers and have a safe space to ask questions our senior colleagues would have answers to
Our objectives are for Buckingham medical students
To be confident educators by the start of our FY1 training as teaching is one of the competencies that is assessed.
To establish an efficient and long-lasting student-led teaching programme in Buckingham.
PLT Society is a platform for students across all cohorts as well as new graduates to get involved in making a difference in the University's academic structure by filling a gap that they understand all too well. Through tutorials, both online and in-person, and workshops, we hope to share valuable lessons that we have all picked up along the way through the course of medical school.
