About

The Peer-Led teaching Society is a society that is aimed at creating a standard structure for the organisation and presentation of peer-led teaching activities in the University of Buckingham Medical school.

The following are our main aims:

  • To develop our teaching skills in a safe environment

  • To consolidate learning through teaching

  • To learn from our peers and have a safe space to ask questions our senior colleagues would have answers to

Our objectives are for Buckingham medical students

  • To be confident educators by the start of our FY1 training as teaching is one of the competencies that is assessed.

  • To establish an efficient and long-lasting student-led teaching programme in Buckingham.

PLT Society is a platform for students across all cohorts as well as new graduates to get involved in making a difference in the University's academic structure by filling a gap that they understand all too well. Through tutorials, both online and in-person,  and workshops, we hope to share valuable lessons that we have all picked up along the way through the course of medical school.
