I hope you are well; I am writing to you all to give you the final BSU update of 2023!
It certainly has been a busy and administrative term regarding freshers and elections. We held a successful freshers fair at the start of term, and we hope to see more members join in January.
In terms of elections, we have just had our group and individual handover meetings and we would like to congratulate the new BSU Executive on their new roles:

As the end of year approaches, we would greatly appreciate your feedback on this year, your opinion is valuable for the new BSU exec as they start their new roles, it should only take 2-3 minutes of your time! Please see your emails for the survey link.
The BSU executive would like to recognise notable events from the previous term of the following sports clubs:
Netball: Congratulations to Pepa, Netball President and BSU Secretary, on her selection for the English Universities Netball Squad for the 23/24 Season!
Rugby: The UOB Bears have worked tremendously hard in their fundraising for Movember, they have raised over £600 so far. If you wish to donate, here is the link: https://www.justgiving.com/page/bsu-movember
Korfball: Congratulations to Ajax, Airi and Angus who have been selected for the student GB Korfball Squad
Basketball: The Men’s Basketball started off their league campaign with a win – we wish them good luck in their remaining matches before the Christmas break.
We would also like to give a special shoutout to the August, September, and October’s BSU member of the month: Lucy Henson from Cheerleading, Lomash Sood from Korfball and Annabel Awosika from Badminton
Finally, I’d like to take the time to thank you all for your participation this year in the BSU whether it was at one of our events or in your sport. On behalf of Pepa, Rukky and Shay we’d like to thank you for your support throughout the year whether you are a sports club member or an exec. We are sad to leave our roles but excited to see what the new exec gets up to next year!
