On Thursday 3rd April the Buckingham Barons earned a hard fought 62 - 55 victory over Northampton Falcons to take them into the YBL Championship final. It has been a great season for the men's basketball team having won the Northants Development league with 5 victtories and 1 loss. This meant the team headed into the playoffs ranked 1st.
In the first of the playoff matches they defeated NHK 101 - 32 which set up a semi final against Falcons. The team knew this would be a tough match and it certainly did not disappoint. The crowd were treated to an intense basketball match with the scorelines:
Q1 Barons 13 - 13 Falcons
Q2 Barons 25 - 23 Falcons
Q3 Barons 40 - 39 Falcons
Q4 Barons 62 - 55 Falcons
The team now head to the YBL finals on Sunday 11th May where they will take on either Birmingham Bears or Birmingham Reapers for a chance to be crowned champions!!
