Chancellors Cup 2022 took place on Wednesday 17th August and saw teams from the schools of Business, Humanities and Social Science take on Computing, Law and Psychology as well as Medicine. The three teams competed in a series of sporting events.
First up was Volleyball which saw Business, Humanities and Social Science take two wins from two with Computing, Law and Psychology with one victory. In Ultimate Frisbee it was Computing, Law and Psychology that took the two wins with Business, Humanities and Social Science taking one. After the two team events Medicine had some ground to make up but it was still all to play for.
Next up saw a series of races and relays which included Egg and Spoon race, Skipping, Obstacle, Sprints, Relays and Bean Bag races. All races were competitive and saw Medicine really come back into the competition.
The final event of the day was Tug of War where Computing, Law and Psychology took two wins from two with Business, Humanities and Social Science getting one. This saw for a tense finish before the winners were announed.
Business, Humanities and Social Science - 1st place with 490 points
Computing, Law and Psychology - 2nd place with 410 points
Medicine - 3rd place with 340 points
It was a fantastic afternoon of sport with plenty of team spirit on display. Our team captains of Edward, Bia, Joshua, Leila, Shay and Maggie were fantastic along with our BSU Executive team of Adam, Eleanor, Jean and Martha who helped make this event happen - a true team effort!!
