On Wednesday 21st August 2024 the teams of Faculty of Business, Humanities & Social Sciences, Faculty of Computing, Law & Psychology and Faculty of Medicine competed in the Chancellors Cup.
The afternoon consisted of volleyball and ultimate frisbee matches, a whole host of races and of course Tug of War to finish. Points were awarded for placings and the totals were added together. For the first time in the events history we had a tie with two teams at the top with 450 points!! How did we decide the winner - a captains race of course!!
The team captains of Medicine were victorius in what was a super close finish with Business, Humanities & Social Sciences just missing out on the title. This win for medicine ensures a new winning team on the trophy and ends the BHSS dominance!!
A huge thank you to the team captains, Antony, Maggie, Oliver, Merry, Demmy and Sonali as their work in recruiting their team members and helping to promote the event ensured fantastic participation and competition. To the BSU executive team members Jeron and Zoe who helped score and officiate the events - thank you!! And finally to everyone who represented and supported their teams we loved the atmosphere you created!!
1st place - Medicine (450 points - winners in the captains race)
