Culture Fest 2025

On Wednesday 21st May 2025 we hosted Culture Fest - a celebration of the diverse cultures we have on campus!!

Our Desi, Punjabi and Afro-Caribbean societies came together for an evening of song, dance and food.  To begin the evening each of the societies hosted pop up stands which celebrated elements of their culture they wanted to share.  This included food and drink as well as information about their countries.  Our International student network lead, Richard Johnston, was our DJ for the first part of the evening which really set the tone for a brilliant evening of celebration.

We provided a range of food which included Kebabs and Samosas from Lahori student Briyani, Joloff rice from Bee's Grilled Kitchen and Punjabi dessert from De Eiscreme projekt.  Once the food had been served it was time for the performances.  We were treated to songs and dance from our Desi and Punjabi societies - all of which were incredible and a huge thank you to all of the performers.

Once the performances were complete the party continued as we hosted our DJ night until midnight.

Thank you to all of the students and societies who supported the event - we are already looking forward to making the event bigger and better next year!!  You can view more photos from the event here.
