Our recent Stable Visit Event was a huge success – and we loved seeing so many new faces join us for a wholesome day in the countryside!

We kicked things off with some fun facts about horses, setting the scene before heading out to the beautiful fields just a short walk away. There, we had the chance to meet friendly ponies, enjoy the sunshine, and take in the calming views of the stables. From pony walks to spontaneous chats about stable life, the experience was relaxing, informative, and a much-needed breath of fresh air from campus life.

Here’s what some of our attendees had to say:

“I enjoyed the informative fun facts about horses in the beginning! The field location is really pretty and getting to walk there to see other horses whilst walking a pony was really awesome.” – Raghad

“It was a lovely opportunity to see the horses and learn about the stables. Thank you again for putting on such a delightful event.” – Abtin

“I enjoyed being out in the sunshine and being able to interact with the horses and learn more about them.” – Shruti

We were thrilled that some of you found us through the SU's “What’s On” page, and others through community groups and friends. Word of mouth is powerful – and we’d love for you to spread the word further!

What’s Next?

You spoke, and we listened! We’re planning more nature-based activities soon – think hikes, garden visits, animal feeding, and yes, possibly even horse-riding opportunities.

Whether you're an animal lover, a nature enthusiast, or just looking to meet new people and try something different, our society is the perfect place to start.
