International Women's Day 2025

The celebration for Intenational Women’s Day was filled with engaging activities.

The week kicked off with Quiz Night on Monday, March 3rd, where participants tested their knowledge on women's achievements and contributions. Magaret Kalilani-Themuka, a medical student, helped to prepare the quiz. Additionally, students from Crewe contributed their pledges for International Women's Week, reinforcing the importance of collective action.

On Tuesday, March 4th, we set up a Pledge Board in the OTM and in Chandos Builiding, allowing students to share their commitments to gender equality.

Wednesday, March 5th, featured a Round Table discussion, fostering meaningful conversations on women's experiences and leadership.

Thursday, March 6th, brought a fun and interactive Games Night, offering a relaxed space for community bonding.

Finally, we wrapped up the week with Coffee and Chat on Friday, March 7th, providing an open forum for reflection and discussion.

Throughout the week, we were honored to hear from powerful women, including Laura Whitty, Sarah Ruff, Professor Harriet Dunbar Morris, Dr. Jessica Walsh, Dr. Ingrid Wallace, Dr. Shazia Iqbal, and Professor Deba Bardhan Correia, who shared their thoughts on what it means to be a woman in power.

It was a fantastic week of empowerment, engagement, and celebration!
