We have started 2024 with a bang as we welcomed our January 2024 starters across our Buckingham and Crewe campuses. We held welcome meals, craft afternoons, movie nights, trips and of course a couple of parties!!
It was great to see so many new faces at our events and even better to see you all having such a good time!!
Annabel Awosika, VP Student Activities: "Freshers had been an absolute bang!!! and it was all thanks to the staff, sabbaticals and the student leaders for their excellent efforts put towards the Winter freshers. I am excited for the events we will be putting on throughout the year. Once again thank you to everyone involved and to our Freshers Welcome!"
Toluwani Osamolu, VP Student Voice: "Its my second year as an SU officer, and my fourth time helping out with freshers, and I will always say that its not about the events or activities, its about the people. This January, I’ve met some amazing people and I’m excited to see how the rest of the year pans out. I particularly enjoyed the feedback we’ve received on the events and I’m hoping we can collate some data from this and curate our future events/freshers to be even more, if not just as engaging."
Mari Chappell, Crewe Campus Coordinator: “In Crewe we welcomed a new cohort of students with an assortment of activities ranging from clay pottery making to karaoke, and of course, free pizza! We are only a couple of weeks into the new term, and we have already doubled our new student group numbers! Turnout at the Freshers fair was amazing once again with 80% of our new students on campus attending, collecting freebies and getting involved in all things Crewe. We can’t thank you all enough for participating, massive shout-out to everyone who hosted, attended or otherwise participated in our Winter Freshers calendar of events; there’s no Crewe campus without our wonderful students who make this tight-knit community what it is, and we can’t wait to see what 2024 brings next!!”
