On Sunday 2nd March, University of Buckingham Volleyball club attended the second South-East Volleyball Championship hosted by the University of Surrey. We had Aerials A and Aerials B in two different pools, for more experienced/competitive tiers and developing tiers as well. On Aerials A team were Mehreen, Zaki, Naheer, Josh, Kewal, Arthi, and Sera. Aerials B team were Houyam, José, Daniel, Eli, Ishaan, Jonathan, Anshul and Krishi.
In what was an exciting day Aerials A drew one game and won 4 matches which meant they were heading to the gold medal match. Aerials B had one loss and winning the rest of their matches they too were heading for the Gold Medal Match.
When it was announced that our two teams would face each other in the finals, it was already a win for us as a university. Aerials A ended up with the Gold, and Aerials B ended with silver, however this was an incredible achievement for us as a club.
