At the University of Buckingham, we understand our responsibility of creating an awareness around such an important movement as Black History Month. Hence, our Equity and Inclusion officer hosted a Black History Month Sip & Paint; a space for students to come and sip, paint and enjoy.
The event was held on the 27th of October, at the OTM Refectory. Drinks were provided, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic to ensure the inclusion of everyone. Also, a huge thank you to the Art Society who provided water colour papers, acrylic paint, palettes and brushes.
It was a success as various students attended and showed off their wonderful talents, and most importantly, had fun. It was truly inspiring to see, and for this, there will certainly be more events like this held in the future!
