After our first competition at Cheer City Spring Open event in Leicester Arena and placing 3rd , we were eager to get back to the mat. We put on our best performance yet in which we achieved 1st place at the Cheer City Summer Showdown on Sunday 15th May with an improvement from 79 to 85 points out of 100.
We had a strong team of 15 amazing cheerleaders that took to the stage, we were nervous but super excited to perform. We have spent the entire term amending our competition routine and taking the judges feedback from our last competition, this is what truly pushed our points up as we increased the difficulty of our routine. However, this meant there was more chance for things to go wrong.
Although we scored so highly, we did get 2 deductions as one of our stunts didn’t hit, the most important thing is that we didn’t let this affect our routine and we recovered it very well! I am super proud of all of our Bullets on Sunday; our competition days are very long and tiring but super rewarding and worth all of the hard training.
We are now open to new members! If you would like to try out training message our Instagram @buckinghambullets or email 2003994@buckingham.ac.uk.
