World Mental Health Day

Today, Saturday the 10th of October, is World Mental Health Day.

This year has been challenging for a lot us. We have had to go through many losses and months of lockdown, making now more important than ever to take care of our mental health. Mind are encouraging people to do one thing today that will boost your mental wellbeing - whether it is going for a walk, painting an image, talking to your family etc. Do something today just for yourself!

Mind have also put together this calendar which has ideas for different things you can do each week to boost your mental health.

Mental Health Foundation have also shared 10 tips on How to look after your mental health:

  1. Talk about your feelings.
  2. Keep active.
  3. Eat well.
  4. Drink sensibly.
  5. Keep in touch with friends and family.
  6. Ask for help.
  7. Take a break.
  8. Do something you're good at.
  9. Accept who you are.

You can read more about these tips in the PDF linked above, but this is just a friendly reminder to prioritise your mental health and to take care of yourself.
