Role and Expectations  

  • Open conversations between all execs 

  • Importance of communicating to SU team, back to students and to general university staff who take an interest in your role 

  • Reminder that you have all volunteered yourselves for the role and please to be appropriately committed to wanting to have a positive impact on the student body this year.

Faculty Engagement  

  • Discussed her manifesto plans for this year – you said we did, AI policy 

  • MB will set meeting with faculty registrars 

  • Hoping to open applications for vacant roles 2nd February 

  • Expectation to attend all meetings, or send apologies if unable to attend with updates to share with group 

  • Attendance at town hall is important, even if you don't have a question 

VP Student Voice 

Building your community 

  • Importance of using your platform 

  • Creating Instagram pages + be active on them regularly 

  • Use your termly budget!! Don’t let that money go to waste 

VP Communities 

 

 

Any other Business/ Actions 

  • KG to help create individual Instagram accounts for officers to allow a ‘legacy’. Find out from IT feasibility of email addresses.  

  • KG to put a Microsoft Form out to determine the best day to meet, Weds-Fri seems to be popular  

  • MB to try to get execs able to attend ‘away days’ 

  • Execs to bring to next meeting: goals for their year, event ideas, etc 

  • Execs to notify KG if they would like to claim their free gym membership 

 

 

Next Student Town Hall 18th of February 2026, VBA, time to be announced.
