The Friends of MSF Society is off to a fresh start here at Buckingham campus! We have lots of exciting events planned to help fundraise and raise awareness for different causes MSF is involved in.
What is MSF?
Medecins Sans Frontières, or Doctors Without Borders, is an international medical humanitarian organsation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by conflict, epidemics, natural disasters, and exclusion from healthcare. MSF provides life-saving medical services- including emergency surgeries, trauma care, maternal health services, vaccination programs, mental health support, and access to essential medicine. Be it in war zones or during a pandemic, MSF brings healthcare to those in crisis.
What do we do as Friends of MSF here at the university?
Friends of MSF is a student-led group that supports Medecins Sans Frontières by raising awareness, fundraising and promoting humanitarian action for global health issues. We plan on bringing talks by guest speakers as well as more socials and events (any suggestions are welcome!). Members also get a chance to network with healthcare professionals and like-minded students.
How to get involved?
If you missed us at Fresher's Fair in October, feel free to purchase a membership and attend our future events. We look forward to seeing you!
